Egg has life.... has no life... has life @#$%^ Confused !!!!!!!!!!!

One question that has always been in controversy is  if an egg has life or no life

Here is your answer ......

First thing first, we all know that hen's baby come out through egg... that means it has external fertilization. So we all agree that in order for the chick to develop, there has to be a lot of protein in the egg.

Now for the facts,  hen lays down egg all through her life  and is haploid gamete (sorry, don't want to technical, just assume its a single cell). And till the time hen does not mate with male rooster and till the time male gamete (sperm) does not enter the egg and fuse with the female gamete and become diploid (take its as 1+ 1 =2), an egg is nothing but a protein reserve.

Crux of the story : Fertilized egg >>Diploid>> Life>> would hatch in 14-15 days if incubated >>Expensive
Unfertilized egg >> Haploid>> Life less>>would never hatch under any condition>> Cheap

So now you know it all....
Shoot questions if you have any.
